Gordon's Bay is a picturesque sea-side village, between the Hottentot Mountain Range and the famous False Bay coastline in the Western Cape Province of South Africa, with sandy beaches, two yacht/boat harbours and a variety of restaurants and shops for your enjoyment.

Faure Marine Drive leads into one of the world's most beautiful corniches, a leisurely +/- 85 kilometre drive along the edge of False Bay which takes you through breathtaking ocean views and mountain scenery to Hermanus, through villages like Rooi Els, Pringle Bay, Hangklip, Betty’s Bay and Kleinmond. All the way along during the months of June to November, you are likely to see large numbers of Southern Right whales, who journey here thousands of miles from the North. You will also see the Kogelberg Nature Reserve, a famous biosphere, the Harold Porter Nature Reserve and many other beautiful sites. Kogelberg is home to over 1,800 plant species, 77 of which are found nowhere else in the world.

Further on will bring you to Cape Agulhas, THE Southernmost point of Africa, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. You can return on the N2 highway, coming over Sir Lowry’s Pass, another absolutely breathtaking experience, from where the whole of the Helderberg region and more is spread out before your eyes.

Is it any wonder that Sir Francis Drake called it “The fairest cape in all the World”?
